Registration is Now Open for the Next RMA® Class At Salem State University

Registration is now open for the next Salem State University RMA® online program.  Scheduled to run from September 18 to November 6, this online course provides students and RMA candidates with the knowledge and expertise required to develop retirement plans across the full spectrum of client types, ranging from High-Net-Worth/Over-funded to Affluent/Constrained to Mass-Market/Under-funded.  It also prepares them for the RMA Exam to qualify for the RMA designation.

The nine-week program draws upon RIIA®’s extensive retirement Body of KnowledgeSM.  It offers traditional online teaching (reading material, webinar replays, videos replays, etc.).  It also offers weekly discussion groups and weekly, recorded, instructor-led classes.  Students have the option to interact in real time with master practitioners and work with them on the development and presentation of a client case.

“The completion of the course demonstrates the achievement of a measurable level of retirement planning competence across the breadth of the RMA curriculum,” said Al Turco, RIIA’s co-founder, counsel to the Board and primary instructor for ethics and practice management.  “Past participants’ engagement with presenters, master practitioners and each other around specific case studies has been key to their ability to take what they have learned and apply it with their clients.”

Salem State University also offers a once a year Master-RMA curriculum.  The Master-RMA course complements the RMA’s across-the-board competencies with deeper understanding and practice in specific topics.
