Qualify For the Retirement Management Analyst® Designation

To earn the RMA® designation, candidates must complete the following:

  • Take and pass a RIIA® approved course of study for the RMA designation
    • Approved courses are taught online at accredited universities such as Salem State University (SSU)
  • Receive RIIA’s approval to become an RMA candidate. Complete the RMA Candidate application and certify that the information in the application is accurate. Candidates must certify that they have not been fined nor sanctioned from practicing in the financial services field by any state or federal government, regulatory authority, by any industry self-regulatory body or by any employer.
  • Take and pass the online RMA examination

In order to remain in good standing, RMA graduates have an annual re-certification requirement:

  • 20 hours of continuing education
  • Payment of the annual re-certification fee
