Replay Webinar – Behavior Management with Time Segmentation – October 18

Date: Wednesday, October 18, noon – 1 pm ET
Before we can effectively manage behavior we must first modify behavior, beginning with a structured and disciplined process. Success on retirement’s highway is not measured by how fast your car can go, but rather, how far can it travel. Segmentation is not Product driven, but rather Process driven. A well designed highway will have guard rails that keep the driver on course to arrive at their destination safely. Time segmentation builds the guard rails of reasonable RORs aligned with appropriate asset allocation, resulting in reasonable spending. Behavior is modified to align with the decumulation journey.
Don’t let the tail wag the dog by allowing current market fluctuations to influence client behavior and impact asset allocation. Change the conversation from Return on Investments (how fast will your car go) to Reliability of Income (how far will it go). Just like retirees, advisors must transition from accumulation behavior to decumulation behavior. In order to survive and thrive, advisors must become plan managers instead of asset managers.
